"Do not try to satisfy your vanity by teaching a great many things. Awaken people's curiosity. It is enough to open minds, do not overload them. Put there just a spark. If there is some good inflammable stuff, it will catch fire."
All the children from Shepherds and Haradali are now on their April vacation, and the four at Fikiria Kwanza have had an Easter break also. Several of the new children will still attend school in the mornings for extra tuition in order to catch up to a level with their peers. We have the following kids sitting their national exams this year:
Haradali – Hashim, Eunice, Teddy and Samuel
Shepherds – Faraja and Victor
FK – Esther, Goodluck and Joshua.
We wish them all the best in their studies.
Other news – Joshua Nassari, who has helped with the ACE set up, has been elected to Parliament in his area, congratulations Josh.
Blandina, our invaluable angel in Arusha , is expecting her first child with husband Tusime this year, very exciting news. She will have a small maternity break and then continue to work with ACE. We send them all the best wishes for their new arrival.
ACE is also working on a volunteer programme, there will be more details available shortly.
